Welcome to Wendy’s World. Despite feeling the blogging community is virtually saturated, I’m going for it. I love to cook and I love to write. I’ve surfed through many food and writing blogs, that are more often than not, combined with photography. I’ll stick to the writing and cooking and keep the photos simple. I also love the humor of everyday life. Anybody who’s started a blog after about 2009 has asked them selves, “What do I have to offer that’s unique?” If it’s not something concrete having to do with one’s profession. It certainly becomes very personal. With that in mind, we offer ourselves.
I remember the first time I heard the word blog. It was about 2003 and we were living in Paris. My friend Toby said, “Yea, it’s this thing, I’m not sure really… web log… and people say blog. You can write whatever you want and put it on the Internet for everyone to see. Bizarre.” Little did we know in a relatively short time, this concept, would sweep through all parts of the world that had access to a computer. I started tinkering around with one around 2006, taking my point and shoot into every restaurant to snap photos before my or any one of my friend’s forks touched the food. I wish I would have continued it and maybe I’d be publishing my 3rd cookbook by now.
Who am I and what do I have to offer the world? I’m currently a stay at home mother of 2 but one is already 23. I’ve traveled, owned a restaurant and retail store. I’m funny, loving, a good wife, mother, daughter, friend and a good cook. I don’t really like to exercise but I like to stay in shape. And I’m learning to write.
I do believe I have something to share. It’s brewing and it’s deep. But I’m going to get it out. I’m one determined little monkey.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Wendy ~ As Joseph Campbell said “follow your bliss”… sounds like you have an deep passion and/ or drive to write, so how cool that you are listening to your inner voice and doing it. I like the clean lines of your blog and the warm soft colors you have chosen. Your words are honest and clean. Thank you for choosing me to share your blog with, I feel honored and have always appreciated the support and kudos you have given me with mine.
Love your blog. But then, I’m your mom, and I love everything you do! But even if I WEREN’T your mom, I’d still love it. I am so glad you are writing. You’ve always been a good writer, and now you are paying attention to yourself. I am so pleased. Love Mom
